What A Friend We Have in Jesus
arranged by Donald Callen Freed

Combining the beloved text of What a Friend We Have in Jesus with the familiar tune Holy Manna, Donald has allowed us to realize the messages anew. Written for SAB choir, the first verse is a three-part chorale, the second verse combines Converse and Holy Manna with a soprano descant, and the third verse treats the tune in canon. The harmonies evoke the Early American/pioneer spirit.
